Ways you shouldn't dump your boyfriend and ways you should

-Getting a friend to do it for you
-Over text
-Using song lyrics
-In front of everybody at school
-In a place that's special to both of you like where you had your first kiss or something
-At the dance
-Just start ignoring him
-Using post it notes or passing notes in class
-Making him miserable so that he dumps you
-Voicemail
-On his birthday/Valentine's day/Christmas/New Year's Eve

 How to do it properly
It's going to be awkward and it's going to suck a lot to see him look that sad all of a sudden but just remember that you don't want to be in a relationship with a person that you don't like. And just because it's hard for you, it doesn't give you the right to be mean or cruel to him. Keep your friends and his friends out of it. Try to avoid doing it to him at school. With everyone watching? Horrible, for both of you.You have to talk to him eventually. This means face-to-face. It doesn't include texting, face time, passing notes or getting a friend to do it for you. It has to be you. Don't just say "We're breaking up", give him a reason like "We're breaking up because I liked it better when we were just friends/We don't get along that well/I think we'd both have more fun if we saw other people." And be honest, but not harsh. He'll be upset at first and maybe you will be too, but eventually you'll both be relieved that you got out of the relationship.
