Best book everrrr

      Beautiful Creatures is a romantic fantasy about a boy named Ethan Wate. Ethan lives in the small town of Gatlin, South Carolina where nothing new ever happens and nothing has happened since the Civil War in the mid 19th century. All he wants to do is get out of the town and live somewhere else...until he starts to have terrifying realistic dreams about a girl that he's never met. When school starts in September, something changes for once. There is a new girl named Lena Duchannes, who moves into the town's oldest plantation with the town shut-in, Macon Ravenwood. She is bullied at school because of who she lives with, how she dresses and the fact that she is new and will never fit in with the town. Ethan is powerfully drawn to Lena due to their psychic connection, determined to uncover the secret. Lena's family hides a dark truth that will be revealed on her sixteenth birthday and in the meantime, she counts down the days with dread, trying to conceal her powers and the secret that has spoiled her family for many generations. 
                                        ****THIS IS A ROMANTIC STORY****
      I loved this book. There were so many surprises and plot twists and there was never a moment when you could guess what was going to happen next. The end completely took me by surprise, it was amazing. One thing that I wanted to see in the book was other people's perspectives, so that the whole story wasn't told in just Ethan's point of view. It would have been interesting to see what others thought. I reccomend this book to everyone, there aren't any dry moments and I think anyone will really love it. The book is mostly directed towards guys and girls 12 and up, it's not too cheesy with the romantic stuff and has a lot of cool supernatural elements. I rate this book a 9 out of 10.

What's in my purse?!

I love purses ahaa and I thought why not share with y'all what's in my purse! So here goes:

My current purse is a small over the shoulder purple roxy purse. I got it for Christmas and I absolutely love it! It has a snap to open it up and one zippered pocket on the inside. The space between the edge of the purse and the zippered pocket on the inside is just big enough to hold my phone. In the zippered pocket I keep money and gift cards such as... My plum rewards card, garage gift card, and my pinkberry stamp card thing.

There will be a YouTube video on this exact topic where I show you and go into a little more detail. Keep an eye out for that!

Valentines day girls night in step by step guide !:)

Even though you may not have a boyfriend, doesn't mean you can't still enjoy Valentines day with your girlfriend! Heres my step by step guide on how to achieve the perfect Valentines day girls night in:

Friends:

1) Make sure you invite your best friends only, we don't want any cat fights happening!

2) Make sure all your friends like each other, if they don't it could be awkward

Theme

1) You can either have a themed girls night in party (PJ themed for example) or just have a non-themed party

Music

1) Choose up beat songs that are fun to dance to and will leave you guys dancing all night long

2) Have a variety of artists included in your girls night in playlist

Movies

1) Choose cute, funny, romantic, drama induced movies

2) Have a variety of movies and stay up all night long watching them

Snacks and Drinks

1) Have yummy delicious snack food (Chocolate, fruit, chips...)

2) Serve tea, hot chocolate, water, and juice at your girls night in. Perf drinks in for you and your gal pals to enjoy

I texted hiiim and was like " Awkward...but my friends want me to ask you to the dance" and then he got confused and stuff and then when he figured it out, he said "I'll save you a dance" SOOOO yeaa, but then this guy asked me to the dance, so I'm going with him and I told Si that he can save the dance for someone else, and now he's saving a dance for out friend Avery!

I did my challenge this week... weeell Mia did it for me actually aha. So on Monday, In LA (first period) Mia yelled out "Its Kendals birthday today!" and people believed her... Then in Social (second period) Someone told mr.Persoon (social teacher) that it was my birthday, Heres how it went:

Mr.P: Yes
Me: *Stands up*
Mr.P: I hear we have a celebration today
Me:*Starts laughing my head off with Mia and our friend Emma*

Mr.P: Now, I want everyone to sing Happy Birthday to Kendal, make it sound like a choir
Me: *Laughing still, face beat red*
Mr.P: It is your birthday, right?
Me: No *laughing still, dying down a little*

Mia's Challenge Update

So I actually didn't do my challenge because Jordan dyed his hair pink on Monday because he shaves it for cancer and it was just really embarrassing and he talks to me all the time so I would be constantly blowing him kisses so ya I didn't do it.

Early Morning Butterflies

Have you ever had butterflies... really early in the morning? Maybe it was cause you were thinking about that one guy <33 Believe meee, I have those... all the time.


I sit next to this extremely hoot guy in science, and I get all nervous and self conscious. And then to add to it, the super gorgeous girl sits in front of us, and one of his really good friends sits beside him but across the aisle, and then this really annoying kid sits in front of us beside the really gorgeous girl. And the really hot guy never ever ever talks to me :(


TIPS ON HOW TO FEEL CONFIDENT IN SITUATIONS LIKE THIS ONE^:

1) Just remember that you're beautiful
2) Even though there may be a ton of other people around you and him that are "better" then you, just remember that he's not the only guy in the world
3) Be yourself and if he likes you for you, he'll talk to you

The Essential Wardrobe that works for anyone

-One pair of well-fitting jeans: you can wear jeans with any shirt and it will be fine. There are lots of different kinds of jeans out there: flare, skinny, straight cut, boot cut, wide leg, high waist, retro waist, low rise, then there's the material you want (corduroy, etc) and on top of that you can get certain colors and designs and not to mention the pockets and you need a certain style for body type...so the possibilities are endless. And that's why anything goes with jeans.
-One flirty skirt: Let's just be honest, skirts can get guys. There are also lots of types of skirts, a-line, mini, denim, tailored, peasant, bubble, wrap and maxi. Flirty skirts are usually light and floaty.
-One sparkly or glammed up top: Good to have for special occasions and dates. It can be worn with jeans, leggings and skirts.
-A sweatshirt or pullover: On days that you're feeling incredibly crummy, it's nice to be able to throw on a comfy sweatshirt with leggings and Uggs.
-A graphic t-shirt: One with your favorite bands name or TV show on it goes great with jeans

Not Feeling Confident With How You Look?

Guuuurll, believe me, I.Know.Exactly.What.You.Mean Sooo theres this girl in my class (totally gorgeous, all the guys like her) and i never feel good about myself around her.

Here are a few things to think about to gain great self-confidence!

1) Sure, she may be pretty on the outside, but is she pretty on the inside? Ask yourself this, if the answer is No then, she's actually not that pretty. If a boy is a real "man" he'll like a girl more for her beauty on the inside then her cake-faced, fake looks on the outside.

2) All the guys may be falling for her now, but when they grow up and become mature, they'll be falling for girls like YOU! Mature, beautiful, girls

3) Surround yourself with people that love you for you, not for your looks

4) Get good grades, stay in shape, do your chores... these things may sound little and stupid, but It'll help a TON with your self-confidence!!

Alone at the Valentines Dance?

So, some of you may not have dates for the Valentines dance, it sucks..believe me, but I've figured out a few fun ways to still have fun while being single at the dance.


1. Hang with your other single friends (You guys could make a big group and jump up and down and laugh while the slow songs are playing)
2. Get one of your really close guy friends to dance with you if you really don't wanna be alone
3. Go to the bathroom with your friends (or by yourself if all your friends have dates) so you won't  have to be in the gym with all the couples dancing
4. ASK SOMEONE TO DANCE! 
5. Get one of your friends to ask someone to dance with you if you're too shy

Braces Off!!!!

Heyy guys :) Sorry I haven't been on for a while, I've been busy! But I got my braces off yesterday! I wanted to share with you guys how it feels, what it felt like to get them off, and the stuff I have to do now.

 So first off, it feels absolutely amazing! My teeth look perfect! (and yours will too when you get them off!) I had them on for 20-21 months, and lemme tell ya, ITS TOTALLY WORTH IT! It didn't really hurt to get them off it just felt weird, and when they were cutting off the glue, they used this spinny thing that was a circle and spun and it just tasted weird. But now I have to wear a retainer for a year, and whenever I eat or drink something thats not water, I have to take out my retainer then brush my teeth AND my retainer when I finish, Also if I do any contact sports in gym or outside of school it has to be out, But luckily cheer is ok cause I would hate to have to take it out for that.

Getting rejected

So if you're rejected by a guy that you really really like here are some pointers to get you through the embarrassing  awkward moments.

Do's
-Act like it's not a big deal
-Smile and say "that's ok"
-Get a distraction (school, friends, movie, music, our blog, eating lunch)
-If you need to cry don't do it in front of the whole world, go into a bathroom stall and let the flood loose (we are talking about crying here)
-Make a joke

Dont's
-Persuade him to change his mind
-Get mad at him
-Send him nasty texts
-Get your friends involved
-Ask him next week if he's changed his mind

Ways you shouldn't dump your boyfriend and ways you should

-Getting a friend to do it for you

 How to do it properly
It's going to be awkward and it's going to suck a lot to see him look that sad all of a sudden but just remember that you don't want to be in a relationship with a person that you don't like. And just because it's hard for you, it doesn't give you the right to be mean or cruel to him. Keep your friends and his friends out of it. Try to avoid doing it to him at school. With everyone watching? Horrible, for both of you.You have to talk to him eventually. This means face-to-face. It doesn't include texting, face time, passing notes or getting a friend to do it for you. It has to be you. Don't just say "We're breaking up", give him a reason like "We're breaking up because I liked it better when we were just friends/We don't get along that well/I think we'd both have more fun if we saw other people." And be honest, but not harsh. He'll be upset at first and maybe you will be too, but eventually you'll both be relieved that you got out of the relationship.

First Day of Challenge recap

This is a day latee. but thats ok cause nothing happened today anyways. So several times yesterday, Avery (she knows whats going on, she reads the blog) was like (while giggling) "hey Kendal" and i was like (in a monotone, embarrassed, giggly tone) "ruff :P". It was weeeiiirdddd. Buut i still got tomorrow too. btw next weeks challenges are gonna be waaaayyy better :)

Sooooo today I did my challenge. I was supposed to do it in gym but thank god I didn't because Malcolm just got a new white top with the sleeves cut off which totally show off his arms. Several times Kendal and our friend Emma tried to yell his name so that I could yell it to him but that didn't work because neither of them can yell very well. So in spanish I turned my head seductively towards him and said "hey Malcolm" and he looked over and I said "nice arms" and did the lip licking thing. For the rest of class he had his sleeves up to show off his biceps. Sigh. Kendal is supposed to give me three dollars for it. You can just buy me pizza on Thursday bbg :p

Favorite TV Shows!!

Hey guys!! I'm not sure about you.. but I LOVE watching TV all snuggled up in a blanket, slippers, and PJS <3 So I thought it would be the perfect post!! I'm going to be sharing with you guys my fave TV shows of the moment!


1) Pretty Little Liars: This.Show.Is.Addicting. Seriously!! It's about four girls, Aria, Hanna, Emily, and Spencer, and their best friend, Alison, is killed. Their getting texts and messages from someone names 'A' and they have to figure out who A is and who killed Alison. It's super scary but addicting!! Rating: 14A

2) The Vampire Diaries: This is a really scary show too, but really good! It's about a girl named Elena, she meets two boys, Damen and Stefan (their vampires!) They were both in love with Katherine (she looks exactly like Elena!) a couple 100 years ago, and its about figuring out what was up with Katherine and all the adventures that go on in Mystic Falls and in Elena's life because their vampires.  It's really scary...dont watch it alone unless youre brave! Rating: PG-13

3) 90210: This is a definite drama show, its actually addicting! Its about Annie Wilson and her brother Dixon Wilson and Naomi Clark and Erin Silver and a bunch of other people and their adventures in Beverly Hills, High school, and even after highschool! This show contains a lot of drama, beware if you hate that. Rating: 14+

4) Glee: I've only watched 2 seasons of this, but i'm in love <3333 If you guys dont know what Glee's about, youre crazy!!!! Its about these kids that are in a Glee club (singing club) and they compete against other school's Glee clubs! Rating: PG

Ten Study Tips!!!

So, we all have to go to school, and in school there are tests, and in order to ace tests you have to study. Mia and I have a midterm coming up, and we need to study...a lot. I came up with  a few study tips to help you guys (and us!) ace those tests.


1) Go through your textbook and write the key idea of each paragraph. 
2) Highlight things you have trouble remembering from your notes
3) Underline, circle, and highlight vocabulary words
4) Go through and add notes from lectures that have been given
5) Write anything else that you know about the subject 
6) Talk to someone about the topic (have a discussion)
7) Get quizzed by another person
8) Quiz another person
9) Write yourself a test (or get someone else to) ~remember to answer the test questions!
10) Go over areas you did poorly on in the test

If you do all of these tips, and actually try while your doing them, you are sure to get a great mark on your tests!!

Favorite Movies!! + Desciptions :)

I absolutely LOVE to watch movies by myself and with friends and family! Over the past few years, I have gotten quite a few favess, and I thought it'd be great if I shared them with y'all, so here goes:


*In no particular order*

1) Mean Girls: I don't know a single person my age who hasn't watched Mean Girls (except for co-owner Mia aaha) If you guys don't know what Mean Girls is about and are too lazy to go and look it up, but happen to be on this incredibly awesome blog, then I guess I might as well share it with y'all. Mean Girls is about this girl named Cady Heron who moves from Africa and is going into high school, which is also her first year of public school. She falls into a trap of The Mean Girls at her high school, she becomes best friends with all of them, becomes super popular and starts to act all rude and obnoxious, all the while she's falling madly in love with the meanest Mean Girls ex,Aaron Samuels, who happens to like her back. Watch the movie to find out the rest!! This is one of my faves because it awesome and funny and cute and overall addicting!! Rating: PG

2) 27 Dresses: This is such an adorable movie!! It's about this one girl Jane and she's been a bridesmaid 27 times!!  (hence the name.) She falls in love (notice that all the moves I watch have something to do with love?) with this guy she meets at a wedding where she's a bridesmaid and they keep on running into each other, he works for a newspaper and he comes over to her house and does an article on all the times she's been a bridesmaid. While she tries on all the dresses he takes pictures and makes it an article in the paper! (without her knowing) after this, she gets mad but eventually forgives him and at the end theres something special (watch to find out!) Keep in mind, I haven't watched this movie for a year so I may be a little off-more reason to go watch it!- Rating: PG

3) 21 Jump Street: This.Movie.Is.The.Funniest.Thing.Ever. You CANNOT watch this movie without laughing! It's about 2 men who become police officers and are hired to go under cover as high school students at their old high school and stop this drug from selling. They get into so many crazy adventures   its the funniest movie ever, trust me :) YOU BETTER GO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW! :P

4) Dear John: This is the sweetest movie ever!! Its about this guy who meets a girl on a beach during the summer, they fall in love (anything seem familiar?)  then he goes to war, and then his dad dies, (Thats the nutshell version, you better go watch the movie to find out the details) Rating: PG *Channing Tatum!*
                                                           
5) The Vow: This is the movie where I fell in love with Channing Tatum <3 Its about how him and his wife got married, and then they got into a car crash, and his wife lost her memory and didn't remember who he was. The whole movie is where he's trying to get his wife to remember who he is and how they both love each other. Its so romantic and cute!! Rating: PG-13 *Channing Tatum*

6) The Notebook: Ahhh it's such a cute movie!!!! It's about this girl who falls in love with this boy and they have the cutest relationship ever, but her mom doesn't like him. The boy has to go to war and promises to write, he does.. every single day. But the girls mom keeps them and makes her think that he hasn't written at all. She eventually falls in love with someone else, and is going to get married, then he comes back, and there feelings for each other come back. It is such a cute movie! Rating: PG-13

7) The Titanic: The movies pretty self explanatory. All I'm gonna say is that I cried... its sad, but extremely adorable and romantic <33 Rating: PG-13

Weekly Challenges :P

We came up with a brilliant idea, every week (Sunday night) we will think of one thing the other blogger (Kendal-Mia  Mia-Kendal) has to do as sort of a challenge either all week long or for part of the week. Examples of what one of us might have to do: Answer any question the teacher asks you in a british accent or ask your crush to the dance. And then we'll blog about what we did and our experience.

So your crush has a girlfriend... {or just doesn't like you like that}

Holaaaa 

 So many of us girls have crushes (at least I do aha) and some us (me) aren't so lucky with guys. I thought I'd tell y'all about the few tips and tricks i have figured out over the past few years :)

*Speaking from personal experience*

If you still wanna be friends with him

If you guys have an only texting no contact at school relationship

So me and my current crush text, he has a girlfriend, and he knows I like him and I know he has a girlfriend. We don't make it awkward and YOU shouldn't make it awkward either! We're friends and we have normal conversations and its way better then it being awko taco all the time. If the situation IS awkward and you can't fix it,  try just sending him a friendly text saying Hey :) Whats up? or Hey something simple like that, don't seem needy or desperate, that scares guys away.

If you guys have a non-texting only talk at school relationship

This is definitely NOT what I have, but I came up with a few ideas to help you through the situation. This is sometimes a better relationship to have because you can be more upfront and you can KNOW that he got the message and didn't just ignore your text. At lunch ( or if he's in your homeroom) you can go and say Hey  and start a simple conversation just like you would with any of your other friends

Social Media Sites

ex: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr etc...  It's really up to you, If you're okay with seeing his face and posts, and tweets without feeling sad or angry, then keep on following and stay his friend on fb

If you want to steer clear of any awkwardness and move on and not talk to him

If you guys have an only texting no contact at school relationship

DELETE HIS NUMBER!!! Then you won't feel the need to text him. You'll feel a sudden burst of relief and he'll finally be out of your life (for the most part)

If you guys have a non-texting only talk at school relationship

This may be a little easier to deal with then via texting, He will always be with his friends or girlfriend (most likely) so you won't feel the need (at least not as much) to go up to him and talk to him. slap him, yell at him, whatever you wanna do as much. Also your friends are going to be with you and can help control any urge you have to go up to him and do whatever. BE A STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMEN WHO DONT NEED NO MAN :P

Social Media Sites

Unfollow, unfriend. You won't want to deal with constantly hearing what he has to say, or seeing an excessive amount of pictures of him. It will just make you feel worse.
